We emphasize the responsible use of chemical knowledge to solve significant problems related to energy, natural resources, new materials, and human disease. We seek to prepare our students for various careers opportunities including chemical education, medicine, and industry.
Chemistry is one department in which the students can go for higher studies and jobs very easily. Chemistry has a wide scope not only in teaching but also in technical line, like industry-based and pharmaceuticals fields. Chemistry is the basis for all the other fields such as Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, etc.,
Eligibiligy:
A pass in higher secondary examination with either chemistry (Academic and vocational stream) as one of the subjects conducted by the Govt of Tamilnadu or any other qualification accepted as equivalents thereto are eligible for admission to B.Sc., degree course.
Duration of the Course:
The course of study shall be based on Semester pattern with internal assessment. The course shall consist of six semesters and a total period of three years.
