To teach the five divisions of Grammar
To introduce the new Tamil Literary aspects
To teach and create knowledge of the poetry, short stories, drama and prose
To approach the criticism for Tamil grammar and literature
To introduce the various divisions of literature.
Eligibility of the course:
Candidates seeking admission to the first year of the Degree of Bachelor of Tamil, shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu with Tamil as one the subject. Preference will be given to those who have taken Advanced Tamil as a subject in the qualifying examination.
Duration of the Course:
The course for the degree of Bachelor of Tamil shall consist of three academic years divided into six semesters.
