About the Department
The Department of Commerce (Banking & Insurance) has its initiation in the Academic Year 2020-2021. The main aim of the course is to create trained professionals who are able to handle various financial activities associated with banking and insurance sectors.
This programme helps the candidate to get an exposure to operational environment in Banking, Insurance and other related firms in the financial service sector.
The arrival of market-oriented approach, globalization, reforms and competitions in the banking and insurance sector and the need to equip prospective banking and insurance professional to face the challenges ahead, our college has developed a degree course in Banking and Insurance for the students who aspire to make a career in Banking and Insurance. This course will provide the students, a greater in-depth knowledge of different aspects of Banking, Insurance and other financial services and a thorough understanding of the practical application of the theory.
The Banking & Insurance degree aims to inculcate training and practical approach among the students by using modern technologies, and also to given an adequate exposure to operational environment in the field of Banking, Insurance and other related financial services.
To meet this challenge there is a huge requirement for trained banking and financial professionals in the country. The program aims to churn out skilled and talented Finance and Management professionals to fulfill the requirement of the corporate sector in general, Banking Insurance, and Financial Services sector in particular.
Banking and Insurance are the most significant career choices for students as it is well paid, secure and provides career growth. It not only provides the students with theoretical knowledge but also helps in thorough understanding of practical application of the theory. This course provides ample exposure to the students with market reforms, projects and assignments to understand the dynamics of banks, insurance in a better way.
